Can I trek in the Himalayas even if I haven't done any trekking before?
A big yes .... yes you can... there were many options in uttarakhand and himachal states of India. You can either pack your rucksack and hit for the mountains on your own and pitched your tent anywhere you wanted to OR you can join any trekking agency which organises full trekking packages for various treks. You can easily find a lot of them on internet. And you dont need any experience or certification to trek, but there are some forest dept minimal fees which have to be submitted. All these fees and permissions are already included in the money charges by the trekking fagencies(if you are planning to go wid them). Else you can travel solo and you can easily skip these fees and get lost in the mountains in your own world, the real adventure. But based on your potential and courage its better to stick to easy treks if you are travelling alone .
Well my first trek in himalayas was DalhousieTrek in Himachal Pradesh which is considered to be a paradise for nature lovers and adventure enthusiast. This trek was moderately difficult . And the good news is I had successfully done it.
That was my first trek in Himalayas . After that I did so many trekk link is given below:
What are the things to keep in mind for your first trek in the Himalayas?
Himalayan treks are generally involved high altitude trekking so prepare well build your stamina by running, climbing stairs, trail running etc. During a trek you will have to carry your own rucksack so limit the things which you carry on your first trek. How do I prepare for my first trek?
